OMG!!! The last one! I am so glad that I did this. It was so interesting and informative, there were many little things and terms that I was previously in the dark about, now I can flaunt my new found expertise with pride! Some of the activities I was already familiar with but it was good to look at them again with the library in mind. Some tasks I will probably never use but Im still very glad that I know what they are (and if the want ever strikes...). I think that every library web page should have a link to the Web 2.0 awards page, this task was the best for exploring some of the quality sites that the web has to offer (which are often hard to find). But the best part for me was keeping the blog, this was previously something that I felt a bit left out of, so now I will probably get one going just for myself (and I even know how to 'embed' stuff).

Loved it! Thanks heaps
xoxo

This is so fantastic if you are looking for something obscure and out of print. I lisened to Kubla Kahn which was wonderful because i much prefer poetry spoken, I also listened to The Rhyme Of The Ancient Mariner which is a beautiful work. Hey, anything free is good with me!!!

Podcasts are also something I am already familiar with. I often dwnload my favourite radio shows if i miss them, or The Chaser boys. Did everyone notice that the yahoo search site is closing down this month. Interesting. I didnt find much through the searches that I really liked but perhaps if I had more time to spend looking it would be better. Podcasts are great to put up on any library webpage especially for information about what events are coming up, people often dont notice signs on busy webpages! maybe this is a way to make some information stand out more. I did find a few podcasts that were poetry reading (although I found their overly dramatic reading very annoying) if done well this is a lovely idea.

I already love YouTube, I especially think its great for finding bits from comedians who rarely come to Aus, there are some great Noel Feilding clips on there. This week though i decided to keep slightly inline with the library theme and put up a clip from one of my favourite Black Books episodes. (I will just add that i have seen Dyaln Moran live three time now and he is absolutely brilliant!)

This one was awesome!!! Im still exploring... it is a collection of everyting i wanted to learn about through 2.0 in one place. Im going on a trip soon so I loved 'Yelp'. Also 'Lulu' is obviously going to play a huge future role in the publishing industry. Playing with 'Cocktail builder' at the moment, very cool. I also think that the music ones should be taken notice of, libraries have always been a large part of the distribution of entertainment as well as information and digital music is already very very popular. Still exploring and learning!

Cant say this was my favourite activity, not too sure why this is easier than using normal word , or at least for me. I guess the fact that is free is a big bonus! (if i didnt already have those documents in my computer). Following is the link to a litle note i tried out on Zoho Word. It is very easy o use especially because it has all the same functions as normal word. The above I published directly from Zoho, that was pretty cool! :)
